"David Fincher Finds a Killer" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-03-16 01:26:23

The question. "What's your favorite movie this year," becomes more frequent right around Halloween. Instead of once a week. I get it about once every other day. For the record: alter now tops the list for 2007 but there are a couple right on its heels. So my interest was a little more piqued than it normally would've been for a little news that the uncompromising director will team up with Paramount to helm an adaptation of the graphic novel. In addition to teaming up again with Paramount (who released is about a hitman who gets a conscience. The last time somebody tried this approach it was easily the most overlooked film of the 2005-2006 awards season. There is no word yet on casting although Fincher's a guy who generally gets who he wants. But take one look at the comic and tell me anybody but producer Pitt should compete this role. I act you.

"Big Change Of Direction For Spider-Man 4?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-02 00:37:33

No evince on whether any of the principal actors (Tobey Maguire. Kirsten Dunst etc.) ordain be in the fourth film but I'd be very happy to see Mary Jane relegated to a very minor part of the story. There shouldn't be a "Spider-Man 4" unless it's a complete reboot of the franchise,IMO. 3 was just horrible, just absolutely horrible,IMO. The love story thing was soooooo stupid and overly played, like a soap opera almost. It really bogged the movie down and eventually helped kill it. The villains were completely underdeveloped (except for maybe Harry who wasn't a "real" villain at all, matter of fact, none of the "villains" were truly evil or threatening),I hated the tweaks to the opening credits' soundtrack, and I despised the fact that the end of the film didn't have Spidey swingin' away like 1 and 2. 3 completely screwed up the status quo that 1 and 2 set, particularly when they made Sandman Uncle Ben's killer (which,IMO,was actually worse than having the Joker kill Batman's parents in the 1989 Batman). It lacked direction or any real destiny, you never knew what the film's real purpose was or whether or not everything was coming to a head, there was no turning point in the enter. And the singing!! WTF?!! What the #$%@! was up with that?!!! the film was almost bordering on camp. Other than some of the direct's performances the costumes and special FX,the enter was a complete disappointment in every way possible. I am NOT going to see a Spider-Man 4 if it's going to be a complete rip off desire 3. I'm not change surface sure I'm going to follow production on it. 3 was one of the wosrt and disappointing superhero films I've seen in a desire measure. While worlds better than Catwoman,Batman Forever,Batman and Robin,Elektra,Daredevil,Ghost Rider,Hulk,Superman 3 and 4,and some of the Blade films,it was not even close to how good the first 2 Spider-mans were. It's definitely not as good as F4 or F4:ROTSS,Batman Begins,Superman Returns,or even some of the X-men movies,IMO. It could've been sooo much better (of course,so could some of the ones I just mentioned, but they weren't as good as the first 2 Spider-mans,so I wasn't as dissaponted when I saw them as I was with Spidey 3). Here's the idea for Spidey 4: a PETER PARKER and MR. FANTASTIC dance off! Huh,huh? I'm sure it'd be better and more interesting than Spider-Man 3. ;-) Kel. I agree that Spidey3 was a 'depressing' disappoint but. IMO. I don't evaluate you have to resuscitate the franchise just change the direction like they have done in the comics..

Statement asking for forgiveness due to CP's absence from community as he is currently being investigated by the FBI on be of earlier ramblings claiming to be the Zodiac killer. Musing on whether the FBI is investigating OP regarding theft of RIAA/MPAA property rather than Zodiac Killer ramblings. Denial. Indication that CP is being investigated due to Zodiac Killer ramblings. Mocking query as to whether this means CP should be killed as many times as the victims the Zodiac took. Affirmative statement. Detailed description of how to bring together death penalty devices with medically acceptable resuscitation methods. challenge regarding the ability of the human male gonads to create ambient light when electric cables are attached to them. Offer of assistance from the A-Team.(say that said assistance requires OP to jaunt to LA and speak to a Chinese laundryman by the name of Lee.) Address of the laundry where the A-Team's contact works. enter of the Lee in challenge.

"Zodiac" posted by ~Ray

I'm so relieved I finally got the come about to check this enter. I was pretty disappointed when they pulled it out from Philippine theaters probably due to low audience turnout. But I guess my desire wait paid off. To a lot of people it may be boring and dragging but to me it was a brilliant film. From the director of contend Club. Se7en and dread dwell comes the enduring real life mystery of the Zodiac serial killer of the 1970s. There have been so many leads and suspects but up to this day the Zodiac killer has not yet been caught. The enter is based on the schedule by Robert Graysmith played by Jake Gyllenhaal which follows the intriguing case for over three decades. Robert Downey Jr plays Paul Avery the journalist from the San Francisco Chronicle who was initially assigned to the case and attach Ruffalo plays David Toschi the lead investigator. I personally couldn't think of more allot casting choices. They portrayed their roles very well. The actors who played as suspects to the Zodiac murders were also very convincing even though in truth they were false leads to the inspect. Patrons of David Fincher's movies would readily recognize the dress in the way he rendered this film compared to his past box office hits. As I had mentioned earlier it may seem a bit dragging to a lot of viewers mostly because the plot moves send through countless conversations deductive reasoning and speculation. Perhaps because I undergo some knowledge on the case (I open out about this baffling mystery back in fifth grade). I was able to appreciate the enter becoming more intrigued by the mystery after watching it. Nonetheless. I feel desire Fincher was able to communicate pertinent facts and details from Graysmith's book which I guess is the main goal of any adaptation. I have always been interested in forensics and unsolved cases. I had actually devoted an entire speech on a schedule I read about mystery kill cases approve in ENGLTRI. After watching the film. I wanted to do my own research on the case (I actually did just this morning) and see if there are any new developments. I'm also reading Robert Graysmith's book and it's turning out to be very interesting material. What can I say the film got me hooked. The most twisted lie from the movie?"Before I kill you. I'll impel your baby out the [car] window."David Fincher did it again!Rating: 4.2 / 5 stars

"Wisdom in Hollywood.." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-10 17:40:28

.. is open in the oddest places. Listen to James Earl Jones do his speach about baseball in "Field of Dreams" for example. I got a mention the other day about quoting from "account and Ted's excellent adventure" the first of the two movies. It is a nice little movie.. nothing special.. and yet it's a sweet gentle thing of a movie. But aside from the fun of it and all it's silliness there is a running gag in the movie that these two 'valley dudes' are honored as prophets or law givers in a future measure.. through this device the writer (or whoever gets to affirm credit) comes up with a totally novel version of an old truth. "Be excellent to one another and party on dudes!". Maybe I'm a dope. Maybe I'm a softy or a sentimentalist. Maybe I'm just stupid. Or maybe at grow that is a end philosophy. And just maybe someday in the future populate ordain find this movie and discover that Bill and Ted really were an emit of the express of God. Or I could be completely nuts. Y'all choose. And speakin' of movies.... Felashe and I watched "E. T." last night with promote Ogood the high educate freshman. She'd never seen it all the way through. You will be pleased to hear that it holds up pretty come up. It's still a lovley movie. We also watched "Zodiac" which may sound familiar but is an entirely new and different tale. It's the story of the folks who were intimately involved in the search for the "Zodiac killer" the real monster that stalked mostly. Northern California in the late '60's and early '70's. It's not a movie that all of you will love. It is a movie that you can watch and not know a thing about the area or the killer or anything else. The thing that sets this movie apart is on two points: First.. it's the story of the real people and how it affected them over the years. back up. it's filmed in a 'documentary' manner. It's the matter of the second inform that might put some folks off. With only two exceptions everyone in this film acts with subdued emotions.. almost as though bring up Webb directed this. You experience while you check the enter that you are watching actors.. and yet because they are so emotionally controled it's easy to get caught up in the undergo through their eyes. The exceptions to this are Jake Gyllenhaal (I had to google the spelling) and Robert Downey. Jake is the main engrave the one who becomes obsessed with the search for the killer. He is a very good choice for the character. Robert Downey is wonderful. He steals every scene he is in. His engrave is the first to be seduced by the search for the killer because he has been threatened by him. The character spirals out of hold back with drugs and alchohol. Downey is a great actor but his off check troubles are so mirrored in this performance that it's tough not to evaluate he's just playing himself. It's too bad. He was a poor choice for the part as directed... I accuse the director for the use he was put to and the latitude he was given. That is my only kick about the movie. Felashe and I loved it. This is not a slasher movie.. nor a horror thing.. there is a bit of daub but if you're squeamish don't mind.. this ordain not gross you out. Give it a shot and lemme know. I live near most of the locations in the enter so it wasn't much of stretch for me. I moved here while he was still pretty big in the news so the story wasn't entirely new to me. The 'rest of the story' is what you get in this enter. Checkitout. By the way.. it's offical.. Missa is a year older. Happy birthday babe!Take care all.. it's that crazy pass. Upton Ogood
